About Me

Natalie Dean
BA(Hons), PGDip, MSc RN(MH)

Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
Registered Mental Health Nurse

My Background

I am a qualified Senior Mental Health Nurse and Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with 15 years of extensive experience in the mental health sector. My diverse career includes working in prisons, community settings and more recently, teaching. This has given me a unique perspective on various mental health issues and continued to increase my passion for CBT.

Currently, I split my time between teaching medical students within the NHS and running a private CBT practice where I provide remote therapy sessions from my base in Nottingham. I also work face to face with people that have experienced significant trauma and life changing injuries.

My specialist interest is in treating a wide variety of anxiety disorders and trauma, although I am well-versed in managing a broad spectrum of mental health presentations.

I am also very passionate about teaching CBT skills and techniques to help manage stress, burnout and anxiety before they become problematic. I do this through 1-2-1 sessions as well as delivering group educational sessions to teams within a workplace or place of study through workshops, conferences, festivals and away days.

Known for my caring and compassionate approach, I tailor my therapy to meet the individual needs of each client or group, ensuring we work towards goals through collaboration.
